Accounting > Reviews of accounting softwareAccounting Software Review: 2005This year, an extensive list of strong competitors in the market for accounting software has once again emerged. With the latest packages of new and improved business accounting software, top-ranking companies have put forth their most up to date programs for consumers everywhere. Read on to find out more about what they offer this year and who, in our opinion, has come out with the best product for the success of your small business or enterprise level accounting requirements. One of the major competitors this year was MYOB Business Essentials. With stellar performance in a wide variety of important aspects, we are quite satisfied with the level of comprehensiveness displayed by MYOB’s latest version of accounting software. This year, it includes a proactive payroll management system as well as bank services, essential accounting features, invoice and billing, business reports and many other crucial components to a full-fledged, highly user-friendly system. The only thing MYOB lacks is a component for fixed assets. Yet without this, it still functions perfectly for all the essential accounting needs of your business. Another winner on our list for 2005 is the Peachtree Complete Accounting software systems. In addition to all of the fantastic features presented by MYOB, Peachtree excels by offering the fixed asset feature. This aspect of accounting software is truly valuable for business owners who need to keep a close eye on all of the capital – supplies, machines, office space, etc – as well as their existing accounts and other features. Peachtree Complete is one of the few accounting programs that includes an effective and reliable solid asset feature in addition to a superbly rated list of virtually all of the other accounting software features that are crucial to your businesses’ success. A third accounting software program that makes the grade comes from the folks at Intuit. This year’s version of Quickbooks is as reliable as ever, with added improvements that reflect the company’s commitment to excellence. Other decent accounting software makers have come out in 2005 with fairly competitive versions. While the Small Business Manager is excludes a couple of somewhat important features, it is one of the only other high ranking accounting software options for 2005 that offers a viable fixed assets feature apart from Peachtree. Other important vendors to consider include NetSuite Small
